In New York a week ago Friday, one of our Wounded Warrior anglers, Brian Eisch, lost his son in a tragic accident, collision between bicycle and pickup, about 300 yards from his home. Joey Eisch was a vibrant, enthusiastic young man, 12 years old, a Junior Bassmaster, a tournament volunteer at our adult events. He was a great kid from a great family. The funeral expenses are huge. They held a small, family and close friends funeral last Wednesday followed in the afternoon by a public funeral at the local high school where his classmates, fishing and military friends could attend. The family then had to fly to Wisconsin where most of the Eisch family lives for a third funeral and burial. Expenses run into the $45000 to $50000 range. A gofundme account was set up to collect donations for this family to help them manage the debt. If you could take a moment to pass on this note to your members, there are two links, one to Don Barone's article about Edwin Evers experience the day after Joey died with Brian and with his family. If you watched the Elite weighin yesterday, Edwin spoke of the tragedy and the account, we all believe that there was a little angel on his shoulder this week... The second is to the gofundme account. www.bassmaster.com/blog/it-was-worst-day-my-life-edwin-evers www.gofundme.com/4v7fadmq5w Thanks, Fred Blom President, New York BASS Nation
