This release form must be signed and dated by both Angler and Co Angler and sent to above address or presented at the ramp the day of the tournament.
TOURNAMENT RULES
Eligibility: Open to all anglers. Anglers below the age of 18 must fish with a parent or guardian as a member of their team. There is a 50-boat limit.
Registration: Each angler must check in with the tournament committee prior to starting time. All boats are subject to an inspection of all livewells and storage spaces before launch.
Boat Requirements: All boats must meet the minimum U.S. Coast Guard vessel safety requirements. PFD’s (Life Jacket) Must be worn by all competitors any time the combustion engine is running. All boats must be equipped with a livewell adequate to keep 10 fish alive during tournament hours.
Sportsmanship: Anglers must remain in their boat at all time during tournament hours, except in the case of an emergency. All bass must be caught legally during tournament hours at Patchaug Pond and it’s tributaries. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are allowed during tournament hours.
Tackle: Only artificial lures may be used. No live or prepared baits may be used expect for pork strips or rinds. Only one wet line is permitted at any time per angler. Trolling is prohibited.
Scoring: Tournament standings will be determined by weight in pounds and ounces per team. Only largemouth and smallmouth bass will be weighed. 5 fish limit. A 12” minimum length, mouth closed, fantail measured on a golden ruler will determine actual length of fish. All decisions as to size and weight of all fish will be determined by the weigh master and will be binding and final.
Penalties: 8 ounces will be deducted from a team score for each dead fish weighed in. For any short fish (under 12”) weighed in, the angler’s entire catch will be disqualified. There will be no courtesy measurements allowed at weigh-in.
Ties: In the event that there is a tie between anglers, the first tie breaker will be the angler/s with the most fish, in the event that the anglers are still tied, the second tie breaker will be the angler/s with the single largest fish.
All Connecticut State, general, fishing and boating laws and regulations must be adhered to. Any infractions of the above tournament rules, state laws, and regulations will be ground for disqualification.
Starting flights will be determined by order of check-in.
